My Story

When PRG purchased Tates Creek Village in 2008, I was working as the property’s Maintenance Technician. About six months after the purchase, I was promoted to Maintenance Supervisor and during my first year, won the Excellence Award for Maintenance Supervisors. I really felt like all of my hard work was appreciated. In the summer of 2011, I was offered additional responsibility as the Regional Maintenance Director for Kentucky and Tennessee. I am proud to say that PRG has continued to grow in the 5+ years I have worked for them and so has my career path.

My Work

Besides supervising the maintenance staff at Tates Creek Village Apartments in Lexington, KY, I also oversee the maintenance and construction projects on six other properties in the Kentucky and Tennessee region. My favorite (but also, the most challenging) part of my job is not knowing which problems I may need to solve on a day-to-day basis. This keeps me on my toes and I’m constantly learning new skills. The fact that I work with people that I really enjoy spending time with makes it easy to want to come to work each day.

My Story

I joined PRG as a Manager in Training at River Oak Apartments in February 2010. At that time, I was just looking for a job in Louisville, but it has grown into a career for me. Prior to this I had only worked part-time jobs in between football season so it was great to have a “real” job. I work with a great group of people including my manager who really helped me to learn the ins and outs of the property management business. These factors and PRG’s “promote from within” policy definitely helped me to advance to my new role as Property Manager at River Oak.

My Work

I’m definitely excited to begin my new role as Property Manager. I know it will bring with it some long days and nights as well as new challenges but that is what is great about being with PRG – you learn something new every day. It’s refreshing to know that while you never know what the next day will bring, you always have a great team backing you up.

Career Path

  • Manager in Training, River Oak Apartments (February 2010 – May 2013)
  • Property Manager, River Oak Apartments (June 2013 – Present)
