In this position, you will direct and administer
the entire maintenance program for our property. It’s
a big responsibility, and it is vitally important to our overall
operations.
You’ll report directly to the Property
Manager, handling budgets, bidding
capital improvements, personnel, and the direction of the
day-to-day maintenance operations. You’ll also be expected
to be on call when required. As a maintenance
supervisor, you’ll regularly draw on your knowledge of carpentry, masonry, painting, heating
and air-conditioning, appliances, pest control and swimming
pools. And of course, your exceptional skill at reading
plans and drawings.
Excellent people skills are a must, since you’re
in charge of maintenance personnel. You will perform regular
performance appraisals, recommending salary adjustments, promotions, and
terminations.
Candidates should have a high school diploma
or equivalent, technical training in one or more trades and
two to three years of relevant experience, including supervising
others.
